LINKING-UP THE SECTIONS.
WAIROA-WAIKOKOPU LINE. EXPEDITIOUS 1 WORK. WAIROA, this day. At 10 o’clock to-day the Maori construction gangs linked up all sections of the Wairoa-Waikokopu line between ’luhara and Nuhaka. A distance of itwelve miles, with the exception of two bridges and some culverts, is now ready for platelaying. Probably the gangs will now go on to the other sections. Mr. Armstrong, District Engineer, and Public Works staff deserve every credit for the expedition used; also the Maori gangs on line construction work.—Press .-issn.
