GOVERNMENT CONSENT. Consent has been given to the raising of the following loans by local bodies at 5i per cent. Napier Harbor Board, £250,000, for constructing harbor works. Lyttelton Harbor Board, £150,000, for constructing harbor works. Wairau Itojid Board, £2270, for repaying a loan. Kaiapoi Borough Council, £I2OO, for building a bridge. ' * Christchurch City Council, £7SCO and £7430, for renewal of loans falling due. To Puke Town Board, £SOOO, for sewerage works and street improvements. Thames Borough Council, £IO,OOO, for sanitary works and £IBOO for payments under an awdrd. Taihape Borough Council, £IO,OOO, and Timaru Harbor Board, £9COO, for the erection of workers’ dwellings. Christchurch Tramway Board, £15,850, for tramway purposes. » Waitomo County Council, £2250, for culverting and metalling roads. Invercargill Borough Council, £2BOO, balance of loan for municipal works. Christchurch City Council, £4BOO, for construction of waterworks.
