BRITISH GOVERNMENT CUTTING DOWN. ; (Received March 9, 2.15 p.m.) ! LONDON, March 8. The Civil Service and Revenue Departments’ estimates are £460,900,000, showing a reduction of £148,281,000 on ' the current year. The principal reductions were effected on war emergency services, while the permanent department? were reduced by millions. The main increases include education five millions, export credits three millions, roadmaking far those unemployed 3$ millions, unemployment relief one million. —A. and N.Z.C.A.
