PACKERS REDUCE }VAGES. (Received March 9, 8.45 a.m.) .WASHINGTON, March 7. The Chicago packing companies have reduced the wages of two hundred thousand employees in various cities by 12£ per cent., and have abolished the basic eight-hour day.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
