BRITISH CIVIL AVIATION.
NOW IN PARLOUS STATE. LONDON, Feb. 24. The Times, in a leading article dealing with the threatened paralysis ot civil aviation, says that Government assistance by special grants and a separate Air Ministry is imperative. The French subsidy of half a million sterling meant a further heavy blow to the British industry. French companies are undercutting British firms in the ParisLondon service by 50 per cent. Passenger fares are now 50gns., and goods 7jd per lb. 'The Handley Pago is the only British company left in the coirtpetition, and it is feared they-will be forcod to close down.—Times. .
