. ,-' " * 1 DISTRIBUTION OF MEDALS, ETC The animal distribution of medals, etc., won last year took place at the Gisborne school yesterday afternoon. The chairman, ot the committee, Mr. Gh:o. Wildish, presided, and, assisted by the Rev. Jas. Aitken, made the presentations, which were as follows:— Dux: BOys, Julian Jelhiek; dux, girls. Eve Zachariah, gold medals presented /by Messrs. Cox and Nasmith. Julian Jellnek, heing the dux of tho school, has had his name inscribed on the DeCosta Dux Honors Board. Attendance: Full attendance, eighth year i Marjorie Roddick; sixth year, Alf rea Pollock; fourth year, John Roddick (certificates)*, fifth year, Amy Lewis (gold medal); 128 other children* also received i certificates for attendance. 45 of whom; had made full attendance. Swimming:— Life-saving, Colin Do\\l Lysnar Cup and medal, presented by \\r. L. Redward. Championship*. Boys, Frank Beer, Town-, ley Cup and medal presented by Mr- L. Redward. Championship, girls, Rita Ivess, goldj medal presented ly Mr. I. Mirfleld. Short addresses were given by the chairman, the Rev. Jas. Aitken, and Mesdames Church and Hooper.
