WEATHER REPORT.
Overeat fc skies were the predominating Feature of to-day's weather reports, with west to scuth-west winds. Rain was falling at Hc'dariga, Taupo, and Westport, passing sh >wers at Kaipara, Tiritiri, Cape Palliivr, Wellington, and Bluff. Wanganui reported 34 points of rainfall and Wellington 11 points. STATE OF THE SEA. Rough seas were reported at Cape Pal.iser, Farewell Spit, and New Plymouth, moderate- at Tiritiri and Napier, "slight at Gisborne, smooth at Tauranga. WEATHER FORECAST. Indications are for southerly at times. The weather will probably prove squally, with heavy showers. Tlie night will probably bo very cold. Barometer unsteady, but rising soon. Tides good; sea rough and increasing.
