, , __. j | HANSEN-SMITH. A popular and pretty wedding of con- ' siderable local interest was solemnised m the Holy Trinity Church this afternoon between Eva Madeline, daughter of - Mr and Mrs W. 11. Smith, of Hexton, to Mr Rudolf Hansen, son of Mr and Mrs A. Hansen, of Mangapapa. The ceremony was conducted. by the Rev. W. T. Drake. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired m a simple frock of shell pink georgette over satin, relieved with shadow lace and silver tissue rose buds. A dainty train, of silk net, lined with shell color, finished with a large true lovers' knot of silver tissue, hung from the shoulders. Her veil was worn over a mob cap with some real orange blossoms. A pretty French posie of white and pink flowers tied with numerous narrow ribbons m dainty shades completed a pretty wedding toilette. She was I attended by four maids of honor. Miss I Dolly Smith (sister of the bride) and j Miss Rene Hansen (sister of the groom) wore pretty frocks of steel georgette over mouseline, trimmed with crystal beads, and mauve georgette rose buds encircled the waist; flop leghorn hats draped with georgette and mauve velvet streamers to match, and carried posies of pale tinted flowers. Two little maids, Miss Marion Fraser and Ngaire Langridge, wore dainty shell georgette frocks, trimmed with • mauve ; their heads were crowned with coronets of rosebuds, and they carried little posies encircled m a frill of mauve tulle. The bridegroom was attended by Mr H. Hansen as best man, and Mr A. R. Smith as groomsman. The church was nicely decorated with flowers and greenery by the members of the Holy Trinity Girls' Club and other friends of the bride, and the service was enhanced by music supplied by Mr Sidebottom on the organ. After the ceremony at the church the bride's mother received the guests at Le Grand Lounge, wearing a becoming costume of navy crepe de chene with smart toque of navy and crushed roses. Mrs Hansen (the bridegroom's mother) wore a smart navy tailored costume, with hat to match. j The bridal couple, who received a fine array of presents (including) many ' cheques), left later for their honeymoon, which is being spent at Rotorua and .
