BAY OF PLENTY SEAT.
MR. K. S. WILLIAMS' CANDIDATURE. At a meeting of settlers and residents In the Matawai and surrounding districts held m the Matawai hall on Saturday afternoon. Mr. J. B* Clark nnounced that Mr. k. S. Williams had definitely decided to stand for the Bay of Plenty seat. The announcement was enthusiastically received, and the following formed, themselves into a committee to further his candidature.- Chairman, Mr. $. B. Clark; secretary, Mr. W. J.
