The Bluff Harbor Board at a recent meeting referred to a report that had appeared 6tating that the s.s. Opawa had touched wnen leaving the harbor. The harbormaster reported that the steering gear had jammed and that by using the tug which was ahead and the Opawa's j twin screws he took the vessel to the j outer anchorage, following the usual I track. Mr E. A. Nichol said it spoke : well of the port that the Opawa, drawing 28ft 6in aft', could be taken out without mishap even with a faulty steering yvur. ,
