COTTON GROWING.

Mr. Theodore, Premier of Queensland, told the Australian Press Association . that he had sno doubt Qaeensland would now fake up the matter of cotton growing seriously. The recent, high prices of cottoni and the likelihood qf their rnling for a considerable time justified the experiment and made cotton picking less dependent on cheap labor than formerly. During his visit to America Mr. Theodore investigated' cot-ton-growing in California where the conditions closely approximated those in Queensland. • The convinced him (that it was tolerably certain .that Queensland would made cotI ton growing a success. ?
