GERMAN ELECTIONS.

•Elec. Tel. Copyright— United Press Assn.l [Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received May 20,-* 9.15 a.m.) BERLIN, May 18. The Landtag elections in Brunswick, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, and the constituents Assembly election in Dantzig reveal a retrograde tendency. Many plural Socialists have gone over to the Independents, a great many Democrats have -joined the 'Conservatives. The Geman popular party at Dantzig secured 34 seats, the majority socialists 19, independents 21, and Poles 7. The elections fairly indicate the possible trend of the Reichstag elections.
