INDIAN FRONTIER.
,Elec. Tel. Copyrißht— Dnited Press Assn., (Keutei-s TeleKrunu (Received Dec. 18, 2.15 p.m.) BOMBAY, Dec. 11. A message from Khirgi states that a column is now concentrated at Khirgi, m view of possible necessary operations against the Mahsuds. The situation remains one of considerable uncertainty, owing to the tribesmen's noted predilection m favor of sudden savage night attacks and the possibility of their enoavor thus to wreak vengeance. Air raids operations are being carried out- over the Upper Kaituwazir country with satisfactory results. The chief Hassankhel has surrendered. However, large gangs of Waziris are reported to be out with the intention of attacking Thai. So far the effect of the air raids upon the Mahsuds has been to cause them to forsake desolated villages and dig themselves m. caves m the hills. Other means will, however, be employed, of which more will be heard.
