He had written and he had got. no" reply. Owing to Sir James Carroll's inaotionv he had been- compelled to. oppose him. i ' Further asked, did he deny this at Gisborne. Mr Lysnar replied that he had; assisted •to ' put Sir James Carroll into Parliament. He was not the oniy man he had put into office.
