The engagement is announced of Lieut. -Colonel Dudley Kettle, M.C., i second son of Mr and Mrs N. Kettle, of Napier,' to Ngairo, youngest daughter of the late Mr E. J. Riddiford and Mrs Riddiford, of the Lower Hutt. With the continuance of the present dry spell complaints concerning the dust nuisance on the country roads m Hawke's Bay are growing m numbers. In some places dust heaps on. th© mafh roads are as deep as six inches (states the -Telegraph).
