It passed resolutions demanding- redress of grievances including the withdrawal of the regulation ranking ' Asiatics among prohibited im migrants; demanding thg franchise, m return for which they would accept all responsibilities of citizenship ; the- with-* drawal of objectionable railway regulations ; the removal of obstacles to Indian students attending the universities; and free compulsory education of Indian children. The congress also strongly protested against anti-racia] discriminatory legislation. *
