At Patutahi last night the fourth of a Series of dances arranged by the Patutahi returned soldiers was held, it being on this occasian a plain and i an{sy dress dance! The hall ( was crowded, all . present enjoying themselves. Mr Copley's orchestra supplied the, music, and Mr W. Robb was the M.C. A large number appeared m fancy dress, many fantastic and original costumes being,, seen. The prize for best lady's cbstume was awarded' to Mrs GillJett (Sart* Toy), andi for the best 'gentleman's dress to Mr R. Gilman (Cowboy). Mr J". McDonald, on behalf 'of the Te Koas, kindly donated^ two season tickets for the entertaitunent, and- these were awarded to Miss J. Robb for the v most Original lady's : costume, and to Mr E. Doleman for the gentlemaai's costume.
