WAIROA "GETS THE WIND UP."
AN EMBARGO, ON TRAVELLERS. A communication received at this office this morning from Wairoa stated that the Vigilance ' Committee established m that town had issued a notice to travellers, the' text of which will be found m our advertising columns^ It is notifiedMhat travellers from Gisborne intending to arrive at Wairoa oif to pass through that town will requirfc to. bfc__, , disinfected , on arrival- and to* xnddivfLw' itiedical inspection before being ' atibwe_' » to proceed on "their journey or to mist With the Wairoa community. Should the Wairoa doctors be doubtful m regard to any traveller, such traveller will require to be quarantined for a period of five days. The travelling public are furthers notified that no accommodation is available for persons arriving from the Gisborne district at any. of the hotels or boarding houses. Travellers willing to make tbe journey under these conditions are notified that they must not come m contact with employees m garages or other places where they may desire to stop for supplies of motor spirit or other articles required during the journey. It was stated that the epidemic was seriously affecting the natives m Wairoa district.
