NiE-W YORK, July 18. Initial steps were' taken yesterday for tha formation of the million and a-half Czecho-Slovakg m the United States into a national relief body for the purpose of extending assistance to the Czecho-Sl!o---vaks fighting m Siberia aaxd clsewhiaro m the cause of the Allies,
The 'organisation will bo directed by a committee of distinguished! Americans.
Its immediate purpose is to raise £200,000 to buy medical supplies and other equipment, but more far-reaching consequences of the organisation's activities will arise through a c'.osev American \aiderstanding of the meaning of the Czecho- Slovak movement, -especially m I Siberia-.
Mr John Moffat, executive chairman of the National Allied t Belief Committee, has accepted th© position of executive chairman of the new body, -which is to be called the National Czecho-Slovak League.
