FOOD IN GUN SHIPS.
"Brazil is already sending thousands of tons of meat and cereals to the Allies in Europe," said Admiral F. de Mattos, head of the Brazilian Naval Mission, in an interview. "Thenft is no need for the Allies here to go short of food. Brazil can supply them with plenty if only the means of transport can be found. And she is doing her part in furnishing that also. Of the 53 German ships seized in Brazilian ports 30. representing an aggregate of 250,000 tons, have been handed over to the Allies."
