GISBORNE CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING.

Tlie Gisborne Club's annual meeting Was held last night. There was a good attendance of members, Mr. W. A. Smith (president) being m tho chair. The report and balance sheet, which disclosed a very satisfactory 'state of affairs, were read and adopted. The following officers and committee were elected: — President, Mr. J. S. Allen; vice-president, Mr. H. Miller; hon. treasurer, Mr. R. W. Kyme ; lion, secretary, Mr. E. J. Bullock; committee, Messrs E. T. Doddrell, H. A. Armstrong, T. Corson, A. S. Seymour and A. W.Horne. Mr. M. W. Craig was re-appointed auditor. Mr. W. A. Smith, m retiring from the presidency of the club, said the past year haa been a most successful ono. "The committee and officials had pulled together well m the Interest of the club. He was glad to note the increase m membership and the happy relationship existing between the two clubs. Mr. J. S- Allen, the now president m thanking the members for placing him m the honored position, said he hoped all would continue to work harmoniously together to ensure a successful season. Five new members -were elected. It was decided to keep the green open for play for a further two months. Mr. J. W. Bright, a past president, was elected a life member of tho club. During 1 the evening various toasts were honored, including "Tlie Boys at tlie Front/ and ''The Press," and the evening proved of. a Jnost successful I nature. ■
