The commencement of the seeondl' round- of the! ladies' competition wast .■resumed yesterday afternoon with- two; very interesting- games. On No. 1' ground- -'Allies and Kia -Toa met. As was expected tho game was fought, out with hardi, fast, and exciting play. Then ■first half of tho game was fairly even,* " 'both sides .striving hard to penetrate J each other's -goal,; but ;. the : defence ' proved 'too good, find when the whistle^ Bounded for half -\ime there was little! 1 , between, either side.'
