MILITARY POINTS BOMBED. A RAID ON COLOGNE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association) (Reuter's .Telegram.) (Received May 20, 1.35 p.m.) LONDON, May 19. Sir Douglas Haig's aviation report states that aeroplanes ori Friday dropped twenty-two tons of bombs on Tournai, Courtrai, and Chaulnes railway stations, also on t-everal aerodromes and billets all along the front. Hostile aircraft are less active than recently, although large formations were encountered well east of the lines. Our night fliers dropped 10 ton of bombs on Chaulnes, Haubourdin, Douai and Marcoing stations, and on Peronne and the neighborhood of Bapaume. They also dropped 'thirty-two heavy bombs oii the T^ionville-Mets railway stations. Several direct lists' Vwer>s observed. A fire was started at Thionville. We made a successful daylight raid on Saturday on • railway stations, factories, and barracks' in Cologne. Thirtythree bombs were dropped and bursts were v fc*een in the railway sheds.
