He tried them with denunciations, of the "fox,-faced, Kaiser, the booze-hoisting cabaret gang, the frizzled-headed sissies, the bread-steal-ing saloon boss, ; the red-nosed whisky fcoak,-.- the empty-headed, puppy-kissing-society gang." ; And he urged them to go over 'the top with the. flag of Christianity .and the flag of their country. This final: appeal pulled 14,000 people to thejr :feet singing the "Battle Hyjmp oi the. Republic."
