MR. HUGHES' TRIBUTE TO COLLEAGUE.

During the debate m the House on Mr. Tudor's censure motion, My. Hughes ?aid no one would believe the statement made against Mr. Tudor m the Nash bankruptcy case. He himself avould not believe if 'fifty Uiou'sapd people swore it. He characterised Nash's statement as ridiculous and absurd.' He did not believe there was enough money m the world to-'buv Mr. Tudor.
(Received April 26, 9.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 26. In th^ Bankruptcy Court Nash, further examined regarding Mr Tudor's reply, maintained that his previous 'evidence was correct m every particular. He never sent presents of jewellery to Tudor's daughters. He was unaware that Tudor had any daughters until he read it m the papers last night. Nash reiterated that he hapded the jewellery with his own hands into Tudor's m the presence of two others^ and still contende tluit Tudor had not the .slightest suspicion pf the. reason for the presents. .
