D. j Chrisp that he would be willing to act I in connection with the approval of Mr. ! Leslie Reynolds's scheme. The other captain he would recommend was Captain Dryden, of the Arahura. — Mr. Pres- ; ton moved that the fee be 25 guineas. — Carried. j Questioned regarding the request to the U.S.S. Co. in connection with the j i matter, Mr. Preston said tli© letter had not been forwarded to Dunedin; he had received it, but had not sent it on. Amongst the applications for storage of ben/.ine, etc., was that of the Gisborno Sheepfarmers' Frozen Meat Co., Stanley road ; 18,000 gallons. — The appFcations were granted. i The board went into committee to con- , sidey applications for works foreman. Fifty applications for the position (works foreman) were received, and Mr. K. F. McLeod, of Gisborne, was appo'nted, the salary being £300 a year. Payments were passed amounting to £1361 Is 4d.
