AMERICANS ASKED TO REDUCE SUGAR CONSUMPTION.
WASHINGTON, Sept. 24. Por the sake of France, Herbert Hooveff asks every American household to reduce by one-tnird its consumption of susrar.
France needs 100,000 tons of American sugar during the month and probnbly more later. Frenchmen consume nnefourth as much sugar as Amerions to-day. This country must make a sacrifice, Mr, Hoover aaya.
