ORANGE LODGE.

There was quite a large gathering in Findlay 's tea-rooms last night, when the two lodges of the Orange Order assembled together to hold an anniversary banquet. Bro. R. Hannah, W.M., was in the chair, and opened the proceedings by. proposing the toast to the King, after which Bro. E. Sawyer sang "Queen, of , the Earth" by special request. ' Other toasts, with the' names of those who proposed them and those who replied, were: "Orange Institution," Bro. W. McMuittiay, Rev. Bro. Carlisle, P.M.* "The Ladies," Bro. J. Dowdle, Sister Hill; "The Men," Sister Holloway, Bro. Hanford; "Our Boys at the Front," Bro. East, D.M. ? Bro. Quinn; "Visitors and Press," Chairman and Bro. «ky.In replying to the toast of • the "Orange Institution," the Rev. Bro. Carlisle, P.M., made a vigorous speech in. support of the order and in reply to opponents. .During the evening elocutionary items wjere rendered by Mr. Rosewarne, entitled, . "Visions of War," "A Kiss," "Gallipoli," and others, which were given in fine style. Mr. Pritchard contributed a mandoline solo, "The Rosary," in? a pleasing manner, as was the euphonium solo -by ■ Mr. Halliwell.
