On Friday morning the, German auxili- . ary'cruiser Marie (3000 tons) ihet British , destroyers twelve miles north of Kullen. ;- ' ; The, Marie " opened fire, and true de- . strOyers replied, and m ten minutes the i Marie was on fire and 30 of her crew had* been killed. The remainder took to the boats, and i a' Danish ! steamer -brought 17 wounded to Copenhagen, including the captain; who said his vessel had four guns and 'a 'crew of 90. The destroyers then ceased fir'irip- arid- rescued about 30' of the crew! .... Cable Association") (Reuter's Telegram > LONDON, , Nov. 3. The Admiralty reports: — Our naval forces operating m the Kattegat have apparently been engaged by enemy forces, probably patrols. Official ■information only intimates that certain of our vessels have been detached to.bring iri prisoners and are nearing their 'bases. A later report states that the forces operating m the Kattegat destroyed an auxiliary cruiser avmed with six-inch guns and also ten armed patrols, i Sixty-four prisoners were rescued. We suffered no casualties.
