ELECTION RE-COUNT.

The result of the official re-count m connection with the Mayoralty and the Borough Council ehec&ions was announced last evening by OVIr, H. M. . Porter, returning officer. The revised figutbes increases Mr Sherratt's majority- m the Mayoralty contest froni 136 (preliminary count on election -night) ■■ ito 154, .the official figures being Sherrraitt 1218, Wildish 1064.

The revision of the counting of the Borough 'Council election has not effectedijanr changes m the personnel of -the neW* Councii as announced on Wednesday night, but it has reduced the margin between Messrs F. R. Ball and H. H. desCOsta (ruhner-up) for the nirttb seat at the Council table. The preliminary figures gave Cr. Ball a lead of nine Votes, but this has now been reduced to two.
