The Archbishop of Canterbury has authorised special prayers for blessings on •the crops, the protection of merchantmen, and moderation m eating and drinking. Meanwhile there are strong clamors for the fullest details of the submarine sinkings. The newspapers denounce the Admiralty returns as insufficient and misleading. Disappointment is expressed at tho anti-submarine measures.
