Vivaani disclaimed any attempt to influence President Wilson, whose policy' *»vas awaited eagerly. The President, it is believed, favor? moriey first, then food, and then ships, men being last. , Tt is understood the coal situation m France is critical.
Mr Balfour 1 has reported to London that the shipping pi-oblem has . been settled.
