Wildish occupied the chair. The Board pf Education notified the committee* Kin't owing to the attendance of the school having fallen, it was necessary to withdraw Miss Harper from the staff. The. headmaster reported that the a'lenda'ncc h*id fully recovered, and tho. committee decided to protest against the withdrawal. ' The headmaster's report stated that the attendance for the month had averaged 7"! l, which was '.« per cent, of the roll number. Mr." Daly and Miss Harper have now left the school. The pictures, re cently provided from prize, money donated to. the school and subsidised by the Government, are now hanging m the lobbies. They add considerably to the attractiveness of tin* building, besides providing a means of encouraging the development of artistic taste m the children. He. reported another death at. thefront among tho old boys of the school. Eric Lunn, who was reported missing six months :'.*j.-o. is now reported killed. T!i> .secretary was instructed to convey to Mrs. Lunn the sympathy of the committee.
