. . „ PARIS, March 2. It js officially announced that the Government is carefully considering the effect on French trade 6wing to the iestriction of British imports. France has entered into pourparlers, with London, and the request is being actively followed up. The British scheme includes provision for a grant of certain concessions. The French Government has tlie best reasons for thinking that Britain will give French exports the benefit of special licenses to the extent to which legitimate interests are safeguarded.
