General Haig reports that this" morning the British captured a portion of a trench north-east of Sailly-Sallisel, oocupied Gommecourt, captured the villages of Thilloy, Puisieux-au-Mont, with the trench systems adjoining, and pushed the line a thousand yards northeast of Gommecourt.
During a raid m the neighborhood of Clery we reached the second line, and also entered positions north-east of Arras and south-west and westward of Lens. We repulsed a raid north-east of Armenlieres.
