Our advance north and south of the Ancre continues.
During the night we occupied Gommecourt.
To-day we captured the villages of Thilloy and Puisieuxamont, with the adjoining trench systems, a.nd pushed our lino a thousand yards north-east of Gommecourt.
Last night we "successfully raided the enemy's second line, reaching the neighborhood of Clery.
We entered the enemy's positions north-east of Arras and south-west of Lens.
An enemy raid north-east of Armentieres was repulsed. LONDON, March 1. Mesopotamia official : The beaten enemy was pursued ou Tuesday by cavalry and gunboats. Prisoners, six guns, three mortars, eight mine-.throw-v>rs, 30 pontoons, much bridging material and a large river vessel were captured m a day.
