SECOND WAR LOAN.
TO BE. FLOATED EST NEW ZEALAND
(Per 'Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, last night. Questioned to-day as to the possibiUty of a second 'tan- Joan being floated m ; New Zealand,' the Hon. Mr Myers remarked that authority would certainly be asked for that purpose on the meeti ing of Parliament. "It is, of course, the obvious responsibility of the Government," said Mr Myers, "to raise suffiI cient funds for the financing of our share of the war costs, .which, as is well known, now approximate one million pounds per month. . The country, despite the withdrawal for military purposes of so many of our best men, is m an unexampled state of prosperity, and I venture to &f.y that the people of the Dominion are 'only awaiting an opportunity of further proving their readiness to meet all demands made upon them m support of the Empire's war against militarism and frightfulness. Such an opportunity will be afforded when the time comes for the Government to ask for subscriptions to the second New ZeaI land, war loan." '
