RETURNED' SOLDIERS ENTERTAINMENT.
AT HIS MA^JESTV^ THEATRE TO-NIGHT. The first of a series of entertainments organised by the Returned Soldiers' Association to augment their proposed Building Fund will be presented at His .Majesty's Theatre this evening. ' K The newly- formed Gisborne Follies, assisted by a number of -leading concert performers and memberaof the Savage Club, will make their initial .effort on behalf of the local branch of the ' Returned Soldiers' Association. A clever aqd- attractive entertainment is promised. The -.bookings have been of a gratifying nature, ajid m view tof the vtorthy object it .is tto.be hoped!) there will 'be a "bumper" house. The Savage Club 'orchestra, under-, the baton' of Mr M. L. Foster, is -also cooperaiing., The Follies, will have -charge of- the first portion of the programme, which will take the form of a modernised . >Ghristy Minstrel; entertainment. Considerable time' and trouble* have been devoted to the mountings and general effects, the' dresses and costumes shaving been /executed by Mr A. Zachariah and Mrs .Tefferey. For some weeks past the FollieA have been assiduously, rehearsing, with a view .to* putting on a bright, ttiedodioua, and attractive entertainment. A number of well-known local amateurs are assisting with the second half of the programme, and items 'will .be contributed' by Miwes -Pyke ,■■■'('?.•■ Johnston, Ti-iau.'Mr and Afrs/F. S-.
