CHOLERA IN AUSTRIA.
SCIENTIFIC MEASURES TAKEN IN ITALY. (The Times.) ROME, February 1. Most energetic and scientific measures are being .taken to overcome cholera, with which Austria has largely defended herself. Italian doctors have established a quarantine zone with hospitals containing 120,000 beds m addition to 5000 beds at the lazarettos. Eighiteen thousand prisoners were examined after the battle of Gorizia, with the result that the contagion has no* spread outside the zone.
