Williams, son of Mr T. S. Williams, ; - Tupai<da,' has been wounded m the right eye and face as the result of •hell burn. Gunner Williams was a member of the draft of "Trents" who 'eft Gisborne m May, 1915. but he was subsequently transferred to the artillery. Mrs H. Skillen . has received advice I that her brother-in-law, Private D. J. Skillen has been wounded. Private ! Skillen, who is well known m the district enlisted at Auckland, and left with the Fourth Reinforcements. Further particulars . regarding the death of Lance-Corporal Robert Wallace show that recently he was m the trenches with his brother, Corporal Albert Wallace, and that he was killed the same day as the latter was wounded. Privato W. H. Charman (killed) was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Charman, of Riccarton. Ho was educated at .Dulwich, England. At th c age of seventeen he came to New Zealand, and was employed m Maaterton as a motor mechanic. He enlisted in-- the Sixth .Reinforcements, and saw service, on Gallipoli. He was invalided with dysentery, and" was sent to Malta, where he was treated m hospital. He returned to active service ,m Egypt, and was again invalided with dysentery. He recovered and was sent to France, where he 'died fighting. He was. a member of the Young Men's Christian Association of Masterton, and was highly respected by , all. At the time of his death, Private Charman. was twent,yron_ years of age. Private Reginald Arthur' Allen, killed, was.- twenty three years of age, and the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allen, of St. Albans.
