A. i Barton, S.M.. District Coroner. Seniorj Sergt. Murray conducted' the inquiry. In reply to the coroner Senior-Sergt. J Murray said they had been unable to \. ascertain the identity of the deceased. The Coroner : In that case this \vill have to be an inquest as on a person i unknown. ■ .'■•»/'. •Kenneth Murray McGregor, waterside worker, gave evidence as to seeing the body m the Turanganui river as he was proceding down the river m his yaoht at 5.15 this morning. He described the appearance of the body and how the deceased was dressed.
