SATISFACTORY ENTRIES.

Satisfactory entries have been received for the Poverty Bay A. and P. Association Show to be held next week. It was anticipated there would be a decrease compared with last year's figures, as the dearth of farm labor ; has precluded many farmers from "getting- their stock up to show condition, but by the | time all the late entries ..are m it will probably .be found that .the total, is not I far behind last year's. . The success of the motor-driven "tanks" m France has resulted m ten of the men employed m driving the Sydney City Council's lorries and cars volunteering for active service. The men have been keenly interested m the doings of these monsters, a/nd recently decided that they would aU have a try to eventually get the position of driving one.
