The Admiralty -has arranged lor a party of dominion pressmen to visit the naval bases of the Grand Fleet.. Ihe trip |Commehced on Saturday 'at tho southern base where there are extensively conducted . dockyards . and wor_shops, and intense activity m naval and commercial shipbuilding and all manner lof tyonderf hi defensive and offensive craft. Many women are employed at lathes and other lighter machines, show- ' ing thab the Admiralty is fully using female labor where such use could not. be imagined before the war. The visitors were, also shown a leviathan battlecruiser, the latest thing m naval science,; giving an overwhelming impression ot strength and power, combined with the greatest speed and monster guns. The visitors found the officers and men oi the navy keen and alert. Whatever the Huns may achieve at Kiel and Bremenhaven m construction they have never produced seamen equal to these.
