He enlisted with the Australian forces m the aviation corps, and left with the first reinforcements . for Meso- . potamia. He was present at the operations on Bagdad, and took part m the' fighting at Ctesiphoh. -He -was m Kut-el-Amara with General Totiihshend's force when it surrendered.
