An inquest was held at Ravensbourne, Otago, concerning the death of Mrs. Thouisiana Anderson. It appeared from the evidence that deceased had been admitted to Seacliff Mental Hospital m January, and was discharged about three woeka later. She suffered from hallucinations, but went about her household duties as usual. She must have been spized with a sudden suicidal tendency, and had smashed some of the furniture, sprinkled kerosene about liberally, and set fire to the chairs and soia m the i front room. It was a wonder that the place was not burnt down. The Coroner found that death was duo to shock from burning, self-inflicted, deoeaaed being of ; unsound mind at the- tim,e, 1 •> Black dial luminous watches are the very latest wristlets.
