Lord Grey, m acknowledging American reports as to the conditions of working camps for British prisoners, draws attention to the fact that the work- at several camps resembled war work; also to the case of Private Eddington, struck with a rifle m order to compel him to work while sick. The hours of work m most cases are 12 and at one camp 13. Lord Grey coiriments that the hours are excessive for indoors..
