SUICIDE AT THE KARAKA.
, : A native n&med Turei To Huhu committed suicide this morning by hanging himself >at his residerice-at Tahipu pa, near* Te ' Karaka.^ Deceased, , who - was between' 3o and 40 years of age, leaves a widow and a . large family, -He.', had not shown any signs of ill-health or worry, and no reason can be assigned for the native taking his life m this way. He had been working on the farm that formerly belonged to Mr Poynter, and his vfriends state he is the last man they would have suspected of committing such a rash act. An inquest will be held at Te Karaka to-morrow. **
