Mr Thomson asked Mr Allen whether '. the Defence Department had arranged ;.' with the New Zealand Dental Associav' tion to do all the dental "work "for the v troops, and whether leading dentists • ; who do not belong to the Association ■ wei"e debarred from doing dental work ;'; for soldiers. The member remarked K that some months ago the Premier in- .-; formed him that any qualified dentist ' would be* able.. to obtain a portion of i the work. , . Mr Allen replied that arrangements ; were made with the Dental Association | on the basis of .reduced prices, but !■- there was no bar, so far as he knew. ! against the employment of ordinary ; dentists, although he did not suppose j- that a dental officer who examined rei cpuits. .would., send them direct to a \'. dentist who was not a member of the D entaJ Association.
