BIG FIRE AT NEW PLYMOUTH.
GREAT DAMAGE DONE. (Per 1 res? Association.) NEW! PLYMOUTH, this day. The biggest fire for over thirty years occurred early this morning. The Theatre Royal, Govett and Quilliam's Buildings, the A.M.P. building (in process of demolition), Walter Bewley's, Hugh Bailie's, Austen Bewley's, and Monteath's offices, and J. B. MacJjfcw&n and Co.'s warehouse were completely destroyed. Veale's grocery was gutted. The buildings on the opposite side of the street were damaged. The fire had a good hold before being discovered. The high wind compelled the firemen to give attention to the buildings across the street. The tram service to tlie west end of the town has been interrupted.
