LONDON, July 20, Mr. Asquith shortly introduced' a Bill, naming the Commissioners and giving tham compulsory powers. Sir Edward Carson withdrew his motion. He said he understood. from the Premier's statement that Sir William. Robertson and Mr Chamberlain are satisfied that everything is being done to remedy the disastrous state of affairs m Mesopotamia. He was' confident , Sir -W. Robertson, was a man who jwould. not be influenced by politicians. . Mr Asquith moved the , adjournment, on the understanding that the debate would be confined to his Jstatement. Mr Churchill said he hoped the enquiry would be held as much m public as possible. ; . Mr Asquith m reply to -Mr Churchill's suggestion, said the commission would sit m secret if necessary.
